21 Day Program

What is stress, exactly? Each person may describe it differently. You might feel it when you’re exhausted, or when you can’t stop worrying. You might experience it as a headache, or become sick to your stomach.

We typically experience stress when we’re overwhelmed with a problem or situation that we can’t fully deal with.

For example, the World Health Organization (WHO) defines workplace stress as “the response people may have when presented with work demands and pressures that are not matched to their knowledge and abilities and which challenge their ability to cope.”

Stress can affect many areas of our lives. Here’s more about why and what you can do about it.

Ready to take charge of your stress level right away? Visit here to learn how Soaak can help.

Causes of Stress

It’s normal to have a certain amount of stress. In the short-term, positive stress might help us deal with an emergency or finish a big project. But ongoing stress is a different thing. It starts to take over our lives.

Common situations that may make people feel stressed include:

  • Financial worries
  • Illness
  • Changes in routine
  • Conflict with family
  • Expectations or changes at work
  • Demands at school
  • Uncertainty about the future

Over time, these struggles lead to even more problems.

Health Complications

Unfortunately, stress itself is more than just feeling uncomfortable. It comes with physical consequences. The American Psychological Association warns against the following problems that may follow ongoing or chronic stress:

  • Muscle tension that might lead to issues like headaches or back pain
  • Complications of asthma, COPD, or other breathing issues
  • Increases in heart rate and blood pressure
  • Release of more stress hormones such as cortisol
  • Stomach swelling and digestive problems
  • Changes in overall mood

For some, stress can cause or complicate health conditions. And beyond that, it can just take the joy out of life. Even positive moments can become something to get through.

Healing the Stress Cycle with Soaak

With such nasty side effects, how do we not stress about stress?

Fortunately, there are techniques that are shown to help. At Soaak, we offer multiple options to help you relax, have more energy, and live a happier life. Here’s more about each.

Soaak Frequencies

Sound frequencies are one of the easiest ways to decrease stress. Studies show that listening to higher frequencies can decrease heart rate and alleviate stress. Researchers have also found they can relieve tension and help your mood return to normal.

Soaak offers these high-level frequencies. By listening, even just five minutes per day, you can start to feel better. The sounds can help you to:

  • Enhance mood
  • Improve sleep
  • Decrease anxiety
  • Promote mindfulness
  • Increase energy

Ready to relax? You can listen to our frequencies alone, or combine them with nature sounds or music. Sign up here and get started today.

Mindful Intentions

Mindfulness is one of the most commonly recommended tools to combat stress. Multiple studies show it can help protect the body during times of feeling overwhelmed. And not only can it help in the moment, it can actually prevent you from feeling stressed out later.

Positive affirmations are another tool that enhance mindfulness. These helpful phrases can replace negative loops that many people experience. Often we beat ourselves up when things are going bad, which of course, makes them worse.

Affirmations help with improving confidence, overall health, and you got it, decreasing stress.

At Soaak, we combine both of these techniques into mindful intentions. We deliver purposeful affirmations to you twice per day to give you a moment of pause and to help you shift your thought process.

There’s no need to worry about remembering because we do it for you! Learn more about how to get started.
