Research on Positive Thought

We know from our own experience and customers that Mindful Intentions can help people feel better, but researchers have also proven it. 

This can be seen on the most basic level. Studies have shown that positive thoughts, music, and prayer may actually change the structure of water. A famous researcher, Dr. Masaru Emoto, created a series of tests that showed the chemical structure of ice crystals changed depending on what energy they were exposed to.

Our brains work the same. The energy and environment around us, in both the physical and emotional forms, make a difference in our lives. Intentional thoughts and messages are powerful tools for positive change.

Don’t Believe Your Negative Thoughts

Many of our discouraging thoughts come from fear. You might criticize yourself because you are afraid you’ll fail at work. Or you may expect the worst about a relationship because you don’t want to be disappointed. 

Ironically, thinking negatively may actually make these things more likely to happen, not less. If you expect to fail, you may unintentionally make choices that sabotage yourself. And if you avoid opportunities, then things are unlikely to change.

It can be helpful to notice when your thoughts are based in fear, and not in fact. From that point, you can start to change them. 

What are Some Positive Affirmations?

What exactly is a positive affirmation – a Mindful Intention? It’s a supportive and constructive statement you’re meant to speak repeatedly until you and your brain believe it,  countering the habit of thinking the worst. 

Examples of positive affirmations include: 

  •     I am smart and capable. 
  •     I take on each day with excitement and optimism. 
  •     I see challenges as new opportunities. 
  •     I can achieve any goal I choose to focus on.
